The Arms Of Love Poem by Romeo Della Valle

The Arms Of Love

Rating: 5.0

Illuminate my soul
As the sun greets the sky
In the morning and closes
The night with a thousand kisses
That seal each breath it unfolds
Within the arms of love...

And the clouds paint a name,
Your name, of course,
Pale, like a signature
First written over a plain
White horizon-fleshly the hand
Reveals the promise taken
In hand at heart's command...

Through the silence-a voice
Lingers in treetops singing,
Calling out words
Invested in infinity-
Calling your name aloud
With no response...

This poem touches the soul... ' calling your name aloud with no response.' Universal experiences set word. I liked the line ' in hand at hearts command '. The words intertwine and dance... solid, stable and at the same time rolling like a gentle wave. I guess it's the combination of alliteration and internal rhyme appeal to me in this line. Nice.
