The Awakening Poem by Matthew Holloway

The Awakening

Rating: 5.0

Slowly it's been there
A background whisper
Waiting, wanting
To be heard
The expression of a silence
Broken like glass
A shattered mirror
Distorted reflections
Fall upon the page
And so it returns
From the nothingness
A verse sings
To it's own
Awakening

Very nice, Matthew. I would invite you to read some of mine, but I am a new poet, and Poem Hunter has not activated any of my poems yet. I have five so far, but will not post any more until they activate the ones I have already posted.
