The Banana King Poem by Kaylami Yarne

The Banana King

Human interest things
Concern Banana Kings.

That's what Henri spoke
On the sidewalk, broke,

And dragging poor Jack by his collar
He would wave and point and holler

'Don't pull tricks on the old maestro,
The time has come for you to go

And write of this Banana King! '
Jack thought 'I'll do no such thing.'

But the King was not dismissed,
In passing, Jack would reminisce

I read his book, and then wrote this.
