The Band Poem by chris dawson

The Band

I took my seat
To eat
That meat
Treat
Whilst the band played
A neat
urban beat
With heat
That moved my feet
And the crowed swayed
Beat
Beat
An acoustic sheet
From the street
Why had I delayed
So sweet
The two should meet
Complete
Replete
I must have been afraid
No deceit
In this retreat
The one discrete
Concrete
I’m so glad that I stayed
