The Beast Poem by Barry Middleton

The Beast

Rating: 5.0

Humanity is lost,
it became a beast.

It lost its way
in the cruel jungle.

It lost a vital bond,
the strength of unity.

It grew divided,
splitting into mobs.

It forgot compassion
and brotherhood.

It burns with a fever
that will destroy us.

It is a selfish dragon
feeding on our souls.

A very realistic picture of the world. There's not much hope from mankind.

I'm afraid not. Politics is killing our souls.
