The Berth Of Hagglers Poem by Kakoli Choudhury

The Berth Of Hagglers

Rating: 4.0

The ocean of peoples,
The berth of hagglers,
Everyone almost roves around
With their probing eyes.
Some are brimming with joy
And some are throbbing with the blahs.
Some of them are yet rambling
And some are vexed with bummer.
A few comes in their air-cooling wheelers,
While other comes dangling on public buses.
Many rolls in with pocket laden wad,
And many buzz with a few bucks.
All are dwindling from one store to another
To purchase and have a good deal,
Many crowds in the emporium,
And some crawls into five and dime.
The vendors melt into tug-of-war
As to who would sweep more patrons,
Who would push more stuffs for sale,
The vendors on foothpath hollers for clients,
The stone replicas stands fossilized in boutiques.
A funky odour touches our noses,
A collaged life lingers on!
And I too went with the same drift,
But my taste followed,
And there I was left amidst, beaming them! ! !
