The Bird Of Passage Poem by pedro moshood

The Bird Of Passage

Rating: 5.0

Roosting lonely like a falcon
Where the fingers of long expected cloudburst
Shall drift from Cupid's bow to drench, to melt
And turn over the soft spot on the stony
Corridor, catching my heart off guard, made me sway
To the tide and the rhythm of the Siren Queens
Coming from you, causing the claws that had pulled
The Python's jaws apart to bend and capsize completely.
Pull me toward your expectant laps
Till there's hope forever to have it open for roosting
As you rock me under that bosom and sing all lullabies
To lull the baby to sleep soundly.

Be my Cleopatra, we shall build our new pyramid
On idanre hills where you will be Juliet
And I the Romeo as we cuddle each other
In nidus and outlive all lovebirds nightmare.
There my breath will caress your soft skin,
And the baritone voice note shall
Melt your heart in twinkle like wax.
Enchant me with in smile, I shall stop seeking fishes
Along Lagos island sea coast
To migrate miles and miles yonder
And perch on Ondo highest mountain,
Then stop over as a bird of passage
To nest, adore and sing a thousand notes
For you alone to hear and sleep soundly
As I lead you through the terrain of your dream.
