The Bird's Sorrow Poem by Chaminda Pushpadewa

The Bird's Sorrow

A day while I walked across the woods on a foot road.
I looked atthat shaken bushesat woods without wind on the atmosphere
a bird had covered itself owned eggs from itself wings, those were for warmth
I looked at it, it's eye has sited me then looked at upper, but also, red and black and white wings had noshaked
another bird flew around bushed and was shouting continually

after a few days, I walked across the same footpath
the bird was the same position as same the previous day and was protecting it's owned eggs.
Another bird had watched landand over the woods
it shouted continually against mine foot sound

After a few days, I thought to go and visit especially it
I looked in between bushes, there were four eggshad open to the sun
the bird had an idea I m not a foe of it
but also, it came nearer to it's owned eggs, it had thin foot and was no sound

Another day, I walked across the place of birds with eggs it was morning.
I saw that exploded eggs and little beak out from it.
I returnon the same footpath and was nearer to birds place

that place was noisy, a couple of birds flew around it. I looked at eggs place, there was empty. No also eggshells.
