The Birth Of A Star Poem by Daya Nandan

The Birth Of A Star

Nebula, the building blocks of all stars in existence,
Spanning hundreds of lightyears in their vast distance,
Interstellar clouds of dust, hydrogen, helium and ionized gases,
Creating their own gravitational pull and start to produce masses,

Pulling each other until they unify into a single condensed mass,
Causing core temperatures to rise and cause fusion of a vital gas,
Nuclear fusion,4 hydrogen atoms fuse to create helium and energy
A reaction happening all over the core with great speed and synergy,

And that energy released is what creates the light and heat of every star,
Causing an outward pressure against gravity to make stars what they are,
These stars shine brightly across light years for our mortal eyes to see,
And our solar system's star gives light and heat that allowed life to be,
