The Bitter End

Black clouds hovering ominously above the sky,
The sound of storm afar,
Between fear and nonchalance I react not,
Looking up the sky I assume the weather man's valour,
My ultimate reaction late in the hiss of the python,

The deer is suddenly caught, wrapped around and held tightly,
Its breath slowly squeezed out of its athletic body,
The attack is sudden, albeit it comes slowly, Chameleon like,
But sure to accelerate in timing and grip,
The storm clouds have suddenly unleashed the inescapable disaster,
The victim could only have a faint caveat regrettably,

Many lives have been ended
Some abruptly, some slowly,
Some had legs to escape,
Some had no recourse but to haplessly,
Endue the night of the long knives,

The tigerish intent to subdue the meek,
Is irreversible, it hears no sound but its own,
The hapless sight of the victim, face full of fear,
Becomes the musk of the thug in the mind,
And turns into a flash light with time,
A mounting frequency that bears no restrictions,

The futile race is on, between truth and lie,
The transcendental flashlight overcomes the darkness,
Eventually the race is won, the end of terror,
The end of the tiger,
The end of the storm,
The relief of the community!
