The Black Cat Poem by Lacey UnKnown

The Black Cat

The elusive black cat
With the amber eyes
You'll never catch him
No matter how hard you try
He runs far away
From human sight
Though you may see his eyes
In the glow of the night
He darts in and out
Of the alleys and streets
Stalking away
From all who he meets
But when no one is there
He fusses and cries
And sadness fills
His amber eyes
He feels so alone
In this desolate place
It's so quiet and empty
All's gone without a trace
But when daylight returns
He quickly flees
Away from the people
Away from the streets
The elusive black cat
With the amber eyes
Away from his fears
He runs and hides
