The Broken Birth Of Rage Poem by Tim Vallie

The Broken Birth Of Rage

The eyes once filled with sunlight
Now darken with the rain
His love destroyed on that night
Her gift to him was pain
Her heart longed for another
His only for her
But when his fire she did smother
His world grew darker

She walked away with joy
His heart grew hard with rage
Her hand locked with that boy
His demon’s loose from their cage

Her heart longed for another
But his heart yearned for her love
His happiness she smothered
And his rage fit him like a glove
