The Cat And The Jigsaw Poem by Philip Carter

The Cat And The Jigsaw

My thousand piece jigsaw was nearly done
The sky was the hardest part
But I persevered, I wasn't put off
It's been ages since I did start
There was a flash and a ball of fur
Jumped up in front of my face
My jigsaw and cat slid left to right
And vanished without a trace
When I looked on the floor, there was my cat
With my jigsaw in pieces once more
It looked up at me all innocently
I can't be cross with that face I adore.
