The Cause Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

The Cause

The Cause

We need to ask question
About the seed, kernel
Of the wars and the hate!

Take Arab-Israel
As oldest settlers
Of land of Palestine,
Are they not siblings?

The books say that they are,
And, of course, a learner
And honest researcher
Finds truth in kernel.

Though from two mothers
They share the same father
Abram or Abraham…

But became enemies
And that is what it is
The source of study.

Wherever hate is deep
See the same as copies.

One starts with greed
And becomes narcissist,
Wants it all for own self
And nothing for the rest.

Patiently, the oppressed
Works hard as resistance
Till break joints of chain
Fall apart loops and bids.

With loss of wings, feathers
Takes dagger brother…

Picks the jar of clay
Smashes and shatters,
Poisons the content.
