The Challenge Poem by Gladys Brown Prince

The Challenge

Rating: 5.0

Each day you rise up take time to think
There's one who gave you power to blink
No conscious effort on your part
It is the work of perfect art

Challenge you face as the day goes by
Knows the answer in His bosom lies
No human effort from your heart
Can cause such challenge to depart

At nights if you go to bed depressed
And often you wake up feeling distressed
You wonder what the problem could be
Seek for the answer on your knees

He is saying my child can't you see
I'm at your side awaiting your plea
Follow guidelines set out in the book
For your own sake take another look

Life without challenge is not worthwhile
You can wake up each day to a new style
Challenge could take you an extra mile
So accept your challenge with a smile

Even if it takes the extra mile, after reading this poem it would really worth it, Gladys!
