How stunning is this world of ours
So beautiful and free
From He with such awesome powers
Reigning in victory

Father, God of infinite might
More gentle than a dove
Who in unapproachable light
Sits enthroned above

God! Creator of everything
Sovereign Lord supreme
Of kings; The Almighty! King
And life’s eternal Stream

Faithful, devoted and royal
With unlimited grace
Steadfast splendid and loyal
To such a foolish race

Obnoxious, offensive, haughty
Deceiving, rude and course
This world, reckless and naughty
Denies her precious source

Above and away out yonder
Or where her fancy suits
Her children prefer to wander
And seek elsewhere their roots

Deity idol or hero
Always the same mistake
Everywhere ending with zero
Whatever choice they make

Rejecting their awesome winner
Hating The Christ who came
Still filthy! Each stinking sinner
Will perish with their shame
