The Dawn Break Poem by Dr. Madan Gandhi

The Dawn Break

Oh! see the dawn break
exquisitely painted on the sky’s canvas
the crimson blue tinted horizon
where the sky touches the shore

Wake up to hear the celestial choir
swaying with steady wings in the air
those from their perch in the leafy groves
weave high-pitched musical romance

Spread before you is the wish-fulfilling tree
hung from the roof of the inverted sky
with innumerous stones of myriad hues
bejeweled dew-dripped, pricelessly precious

Urging you to awaken and walk in the Light
while the ego’s heady wine induces you to go to sleep
denying you the boon of lasting peace and inner calm.
