The Deepest Mine Poem by Matt Burgett

The Deepest Mine

Rating: 5.0

Shiny and bright
They twinkle and shine
Deep within
The deepest mine

Jewels and gems
Big and small
Make up the rocks
That cover the wall

But deep it is
Dark and cold as well
No-one can reach the bottom
Some say it is Hell

Lost long ago
Or some say it was hidden
The wonderful gems
were all but forbidden

And although it was lost
I'm sure I could find
The way that I needed
To get to the mine

Because a key I have found
That lead to a map
Inside an old trunk
All filled up with hats

So soon you will see
The money will be mine
Because I will own it all
Deep inside the deepest mine

Good Work. Very Original. The Rhyme Scheme is used very well.
