The Definition Of Humanity Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

The Definition Of Humanity

In the dictionary of the universe
The cosmic wind prescribes astronomical names
To the great lakes of consciousness
It is befitting for the human species
To be endowed with a beautiful name
For human beings are totally unique
In that they share a collective consciousness
Together we are a cosmic giant
Protruding through the roof of eternity
We stand higher than the brightest stars
We have roots that touches the womb of existence
Humanity is the Love in us
In deeds and spirit
We are bound by a ribbon of Love
And each and every one of us
Possesses the power to make humanity strong
Like any other great lakes
Humanity is greatly affected by the movement of tectonic plates
Deep inside the human psyche
The formation and malformation of consciousness
Causes great stress to the bed of our existence
And it's upon the human heart
To ignite the fires of humanity
And fortify the house of our existence
Humanity is the only hand that holds us together
And without humanity we are fossils in the records of existence
