a fairy tale inside me
the dragon and the rose
a tale that's not in a book
but only on the walls
not written or spoken
just secretly told
the blood is not in red
the hearts are not cold
the fires burn
and the wounds are unfold
on a bright sunny day
when the dragon
asked the rose
why she is so pure
she couldn't answer
she couldn't even cure
the soul that has been broken
on the thorns of her body
and the tears that washed up
her young and smooth leaves
the dragon knew
the rose was holding on
to her brown fertile land
he couldn't take her away
or even with her stay
and though, everyday
he was stung by the thorns
for the rose is still pure
and because she was sure
the dragon is wild but kind
she rejected the tears
and the light of the sun
she didn't want
to sting anyone
anymore or any longer
and thats why she became stronger
stronger than the dragon
and wilder than his fire
because inside her she knew
he was not the only lier
she escaped to another land
between big trees and friends
who gave her a hand
to stay pure till the end
the dragon went back
to the old empty castle
to protect the ancient walls and stones
and he was never stung again
by the rose's innocent thorns
the dragon and the rose
a fairy tale inside me
a tale thats not for kids
but for the hurt
the unseen
those who hold on to the edge
who might drown
who might fall
for those who must
go back to the safe shore
