The Drink Poem by Walter E. Ferguson III

The Drink

This argument acrimonious
Might soon turn felonious:
You'd take my life.
You are saying you would murder me,
You say you'd give me poisoned tea
If you were my wife.
Well, rather than sink it,
I'd drink it!
