The Duties Of A Tin Man Poem by Raj Dronamraju

The Duties Of A Tin Man

Duties have been assigned this morning
But his mind is preoccupied with a TV show he saw last night
Something to do with the human brain and its pleasure centers
Colorful graphics helped make him drowsy
In a waking ambulatory drowsy state, he clumsily carries out his duties
And as usual notices something he doesn't have that someone else has
The medium for sow's ear transferral
To fill the empty cavity - That's someone else's desire
They assume his desire is to feel
But they are wrong in this assumption even though it is widely held
That would not help struggling daily acquiescence
Falling down on the job, falling off courage's plateau
