The Elation Poem by Palitha Ranatunge

The Elation

The pain in my heart is more
Every limb has been crushed
Boiled or burned,
By these growing cells,
‘Tis poisonous touch
Killed the ones nearby
At every second of life
‘Tis quota is only limited
To days, not months,

The farewell procession
Is longer at the door
The family is tormented
By their consolations
Those has no end
I have pitied enough myself
Thank you for the comments
And advices and blessings,

I hear my grand children
Play gaily at the garden
I feel, I have fulfilled
My duty as a human being
And I must say I have not
Done any act unbalancing the
Life of all in this environment
I have lived a life appreciating
The concepts and harmonies
Of nature.
