The Emperor That Never Was Poem by Steve Howard

The Emperor That Never Was

It must be hard to be the emperor,
when there's no one there to reign.
Ignored, abhorred and treated with disdain.
It must be hard to be the emperor,
when none are left to play your game.
To sit and pout within the throne room,
wondering who you now can blame.
