The Fallen In War Poem by james watkin

The Fallen In War

These are the ones sleep overtook
With superlative powers.
Blanketed green, with a coverlet
Bespotted with flowers.

These are they for whom the night
Fell too abrupt, and hard.
A corps of remembered hours
Blanketed green, with a coverlet
Of garlands of flowers.
