The Fig-Leaf Of Shame

Rating: 5.0

He died deeply frustrate
Under the burden of dire debt,
But that was not his fate.

Look, those that borrowed big,
Life of comforts to dig,
Dance nude, and there's not a fig leaf!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Sincere farmers under the burden of their debt die when their crops fail. Those with no intention to pay back debt (and this include even deep pockets, industrialists, and big names)enjoy when Government decides to write off the outstanding loans/debt.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

A deeply poignant and moving poem. One of the social ills of society is powerfully and brilliantly painted on the canvas of this marvelous poem. Yes, this is the reason why there is a wide gap between the rich and the poor and the poor become poorer and poorer. Demoralization and injustice are always showered on the backyard of poor farmers.

Debt begets debt, yes, is true for a poor man as well as the rich, but I have seen no rich man dying. His company may die, literally die many employees, but not him. Thanks MB

If any one dies in frustration this is so sad. Awareness should be given not die in such condition. Such case is sensitive.
