The Fire And The Ice Poem by Georgia Leana Benedictos

The Fire And The Ice

Rating: 4.5

I knew a man who was in love with a woman
But he was fire and she was ice.
They can never be together some say
But why do others say opposites attract.

One day, woman noticed man
But what man could just say is 'I need to run.'
Puzzled by man, woman decided to come by
But man seemed to never look at her passing by.

What the hell happened? I though he was in love with woman.
And what is this, perchance fate decided to bring man to woman.
After that, they were left and right, honey and bear, and flower and bee.
Man did not run this time, I can clearly see, this is the way it should be.

I hear church bells. I see white flowers everywhere.
A red carpet in the middle of the aisle.
A waiting groom and a walking bride.
Oh, what joy it brings to the fire and the ice.
