The first glow of morning
Opens up the eyes of the world
The birth of a new day
Provides a new kingdom for me to conquer
Tomorrow is so far away
And the stars of yesternight
Are out of reach
Those rays of sunshine
Charges up my soul and moves me to places
I've never known
The first glow of morning
Is the fuel that lifts my rested body
To heights I have yet to explore
The new day in a new way
Molds my goals in the new light
A new breath of air
Sparks my bones to chase that vision
That has eluded me so long...to know myself
My life has been exonerated by a new day
New frontiers cross my path
And I leap to grasp those opportunities
To live and try again
With new energies beyond my own
And until my shadow overcomes me
I will reign supreme in the light of it all
So as I wonder into deep sleep
My only dreams are of being there
To catch the first glow of morning
