THE FLAVOUR OF A FUGITIVE ATTITUDE

THE FLAVOUR OF A FUGITIVE ATTITUDE
Muhammad Hameed Shahid
On each brick of my body’s city,
Is inscribed
The proceedings
Of my external self
Away from it,
Here is a picture
Painted on every atom
Of the avarice-city
Depicting my internal being
I fasten myself
To the inquisition of 'beyond-ness'
Endeavoring
To avoid both of them

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
