The Flower Of Love Poem by ian adams

The Flower Of Love

beside a little pond i sat
a green frog on a lily spied
saw me staring into the pond
hopped and sat down by my side
why are you looking so sad he asked
i looked down on my newfound friend
and told him of a lady i have lost
my broken heart i cannot mend
the little frog hopped from his seat
and dived into the pond
and reappeared beside my feet
his home he just came from
and at my feet he laid a flower
the prettiest flower i had ever seen
and told me to plant it in a bower
where grass is growing green
