The Flower Princess Poem by Christian Muller

The Flower Princess

So sweet are you, young princess of the flower.
Your colour feeds my love. And sweetest scents
That quench my shepherd's thirst. Upon your tower
You can espy the thousand greening tents
That house your boundless bloom. And I well stand
And feast on smoothest sigh. Which feeds the wind
That aids a 'bow of petals bright. That land
On further fields to feed their distant kind.
But I your vantage seat could never scale.
And you shan't walk among the fields you sew.
For blacking feet, and turning sweet scent stale.
You're filled by sod that aids your plants to grow.
Your inner bloom compares with south July.
You had my heart but now I say goodbye!
