The Gladiator Poem by Brian Ely

The Gladiator

He swung his sword with wild abandon
The rage within his heart
Fighting for his people
As he did on the battlefield
And now in the arena, a captive
Every swing for his celt brethren
Every swing to be freed
To return home to his clan
And to never again be enslaved
To ever be free
