The Goddess Of Perseverance Poem by Laquory Jones

The Goddess Of Perseverance

In the night the moon begins to shine brightly
As Stars begins to shine The wind's calm as
A summer chill a basket of darkness fills the
Air but her eyes are wide awake not a blink
Does a double take hearts frozen as love went
Away gone to waste now she sinks into an
Darker place where devils chase in a haste
Tears never dissipates against the gates
No explanation is at hand not one understands
Her pain or how she got this way so the path

That she takes is already destined for her
Prophesied through her own reality as it's
Frapping against the ropes The raven begin
To fly higher against the sky it describes the
Bitterness she had felt inside but the lion
Was never too far it defined her inner strengths
Knowing she would go to great lengths to
Over-come she will never again be undone

So the story had begun with a tale describing
The goddess herself striking down the serpent
That was lurking from under the depths of the
Ground a seducer it was but the goddess did
What she must cutting the tail of deception
She again prevailed and that's the person she
Is setting the paths for the next generations
The Goddess of Perseverance is what she became
By overcoming the pain and misery of life

A very insightful and philosophic poem, Laquory. The punctuation, outline and some grammar needs work, but the thoughts are there.
