The Goddess Of The Sea Poem by Kerri White

The Goddess Of The Sea

The goddess of the sea
attached to the water by the wrinkles of the waves
mounts her quenched chariot
with the godly armour of importance.

She sees what can't be viewed;
knows only that which we'd die to acquire.
Within herself she finds reasoning
for the fragility in the path we've created for her.

Her mind is focused on a solitaire of truth
we've hidden beneath the ruins.
She's dug up the wisdom with her beautiful hands,
leaving behind a darkness to which she'll never return.

She soars from the land with disgust on her face,
never noticing the death surrounding her visit.
With tears in her eyes, she breaks through the water,
leaving pollution and embarrassment behind.

Interesting, I like this. I have written something of a similar title, but it is something to see how poetry is so individualistic! A great piece of work, keep on writing.
