The Golden Oracle Poem by Rachel Hughes

The Golden Oracle

Rating: 5.0

Please be kind

All the scriptures and oracles of God,

Are based on this one golden rule.

Do onto others as you would have done on to you.

Love and you will be loved.

Forgive and you will be forgiven.

If you hate, you yourself will be despised.

When others do you wrong,

Look at them with a blind heart and eyes.

Be merciful, and God will give you mercy

It doesn't matter if you are Arab, Indian, or Jew.

Whatsoever you do to another will be measured back to you.

Love and don't despise.

The only thing you should hate is the evil, father of lies.

Every religion preaches and exhorts man to inculcate these virtues. Man doesn't practice. His greed, and attachment to material pleasures keep him away from them
