The Great Gunfighters (Fun Poem 70) Poem by David Harris

The Great Gunfighters (Fun Poem 70)

Rating: 5.0

They stood facing each other in the street;
each had a revolver strapped to their hip.
They stood with their legs apart
as their hand hovered above their holster.
Each looked into the others eyes,
a blink by either of them
could bring on a draw.
However, the guns they used
weren’t as accurate as some would believe;
they probable miss each other completely.
So much for some of the great gunfighters
as most earned their reputations
by shooting someone in the back.
