The Green Field Poem by isaac hammond

The Green Field

The meadow lay green with fresh watered grass
it glistened with no colour but green
the cows will soon be in

The strict white, brown, black and the variegated
hump, humpless, horn, hornless
to tread under hooves the evergreen grass

And very soon the land will lay bear again
as bear and naked as never inhabited
for they won't leave a sprouting meal

Their huge bellies needs be compensated
to carry their fores and hinds along

The approaching crescent soon peeped
they've got to go
but tomorrow, they will be back again
