The Grim Reaper Poem by Dennis Walker

The Grim Reaper

Are you coming through the night?
It is dark but not as dark as you
Silently you move closer
You are feared as you approach
Dressed all in black from head to toe
Your hood covers your face
Only one can see you
Only the person you come for
Your coming is never known
Without a sound you approach the door
No lock can bar you
You don’t need to be asked in
You move without motion
Until you find the one you want
Nothing can stop you
With you they must go
Their time is here
For you are The Grim Reaper
And the only thing certain
The only guarantee in life
Is that some day you will call
Wealth or power will not help
When the hand is pointed at you! ! ! ! !
