The Heavens (Haiku) Poem by Terry Hoffman

The Heavens (Haiku)

I look at the sun;
it shines brightly down on me
after night is done.

In the night, the moon
lights up our darkened paths;
dawn is breaking soon.

I explore the stars,
searching with my telescope,
to find planet Mars.

Tow'ring mounds of clouds,
rolling across the heavens,
like tumult'ous crowds.

The expanse of the sky,
its limits so infinite,
makes me want to cry.
