The Heights
He wanted to be at the top of his game
wanting to be the poets poet, at the zenith.
he wanted to be high up, a shooting star,
a beau ideal at his pinnacle reaching his apogee.
hoping to reach a climax,
but mostly he wanted to use the word apotheosis.
what a strange desire he thought
but he had reached his goal.
