The Hou-Oo Bird Poem by Jak Hard

The Hou-Oo Bird

“In the winter, in the rain,
In the fall, in the pain,
In the victory, in the loss,
The Hou-oo sings, the Hou-oo sings!
The Bushido is no more than law,
The Hou-oo bird is so much more
Our tranquil lives would be incomplete
Without the Hou-oo at our cheek! ”

When in peril,
He shall not sleep,
He shall not have fear,
He shall not weep.
Only look for where the faces are like snow and
Remember that the Hou-oo is wherever you go!

For fire as dazzling as the horizon's light is a
beautiful thing yet dangerous in flight.
The Hou-oo sings forever more,
It helps and saves and opens doors.
The Hou-oo Bird is a kind, loving creature with
more knowledge and power than a magic teacher.
The bird oh, so delicate and agile and strong
is the only bird, the sacred bird, the bird in which we belong.
