The Impossible Dream Poem by Thembi ngadlela

The Impossible Dream

They say dreams come true,
Well some don't even come through
They say dreams are a reflection of thought
Well how come some don't come forth
No matter how hard they are sought

I met this gorgeous girl, without a prior dream
I swear she can't even be captured by dream
Reality kicked in, and still it felt like a dream
Tried to snap out of the dream
But my eyes kept dim

She has a beautiful smile, and yet so meek
Smooth face, with dimples on the cheek
Perfectly cute lips, nothing less than sweet
She seems so perfect that she needs no tweak
All about her is flowing honey, I'd rather not speak

She is too good to be true
Came so too sudden, I got no cue
And all that happened after, I have no clue
She makes me wanna stick to her like glue
If all this isn't a dream, then it's too good to be true
