The Interweave! Poem by Leslie Xavier

The Interweave!

Three lifetimes it seems, just years;
sunny day, a kid in town.
Steamed across many a miles;
an interview and the journey began.

Winds and change with the times,
quizzed thrice and I was in.
Questioning began for those quoted lines,
writing beyond comprehending heart.

This boardroom of a mutated world;
resumes scanned even for a smile.
Daily doze of parleys, the quips and queries;
as I sip - beer or even apple juice.

Hey, your friends, how 'em doing?
why not? You're spoilt for choice.
Nay, I stay within my walls,
refusing the friendship interviews.

But yesterday an open door,
some are worth, their smile is gold.
The numbered words I played along,
an 'interweave', a new-found friend.
