The Intruder Poem by Ray Hansell

The Intruder

Rating: 5.0

Lying in bed
Two people alone
Suddenly the door opens wide
By a person unknown

Screams fill the room
The intruder is shocked
He slams the door shut
Wishing he had knocked

In a minute laughter
Fills and echo's in the air
Both parties shocked
But neither really cares

They find it very funny
Laying there and laughing
While slowly the time
Just keeps passing by

The intruder was the handyman
There to make a repair
Little did he know
That when he opened the door
That he would get such a scare

I don't know if the fact they were naked
Added to his shock
But I'm sure the next time
Before he opens a door he'll knock
