The Job Poem by adam stevens

The Job

It's a thankless task we do,
Not a mission to perform
They pretend to respect it
But it's a comforting lie
If they cared they'd ask the question 'why? '
Do we need their help?
They think we do.
Surely there are better ways
Don't hang your head they say
It's not as noble if you do.
Wait in silence for a better day.
