The Job Poem by Matthew Holloway

The Job

The job
Becomes a routine
Wake up go to work
Perform set tasks
return home and repeat
until the weekend
That extra hour in bed
A luxury for a while
Before other tasks
Come to break the peace
Household chores
Life itself
Then the cycle
Repeats once again
The job calling
Work becomes
A place of occupation
That battle continues
