'The Last Poet'
Why do I write?
To make others see...
Feel my heartbeat, share my pain,
my passion, understand my love?
I spread my tears like a warm December rain-
Beating down your emotions,
nowhere left to hide-
Expose your weakness,
knock down your pride.
Why do I drink?
To write poetry...
Emerse myself in drunken prose?
Raise my consciousness, lower my guard,
enlighten my creativeness, God...
It's so hard.
Spirits for the spirit, my freedom escapes...
My pen knows no boundries-
Ecstasy.
I am the Last Poet, writing the Last Poem-
Listen.
