The Last Waltz



Under the
chandelier
music so
sad and clear

figures like
shadows glide
forward and
to the side

music so
sad and clear
under the
chandelier.

Hearts in the
shadows move
seeking the
measures of

music so
seemingly
heart-felt and
dreamingly

moving so
sad and near
under the
chandelier.

Backward and
to the side
figures like
shadows glide.

But as the
shadows blend
all know that
music ends

all but the
shadows there
under the
chandelier.

For them the
music there
lingers so
sad and near
under the
chandelier…
