The Legend Of Enchantment Poem by Camille Casserly

The Legend Of Enchantment

Rating: 4.0

Why do you tease me so?
Knowing how your ways taunt
And that i despise the despicable lust
That takes me over
When you flaunt your mysteries
Before my hazy eyes.

Why do you tease me so?
Knowing that I can't say no
and that I only pretend not to wait for you to call;
To summon me, a curious child
who's ears are shut to warning screams,
Lured by danger;
My hearts tank fueled to the brim
With the curse of innocence -
A fearless fool,
So unaware that I am just a pawn,
In a King's gaming room.

Why do you tease me so?
Knowing I will only try harder,
just for trying sake
when you play your hand of hard to get.

To back down -
I'm not that wise.

To see over pride -
I'm not that tall.

To break loose of Enchantment's grip -
I'm not that strong.

I must conquer you!
That's all I know;
So forward I march to your elegant glow
Left right left to you I go -
I'm going according to your plan

And there you wait -
The bait had been laid
When you teased me;

It is you who now are conquerer
For I couldn't let go
Of the question:
'Why do you tease me so? '
