The Life Poem by maddy macleod

The Life

The bliss
The terror
The life
The love
The hatred
The life
The happiness
The sadness
The life
The frustration
The satisfaction
The life
They work against each other
The bliss against the terror
The love against the hatred
The happiness against the sadness
The satisfaction against the frustration

The sheer bliss of your friend as she calls you
And then the terror as you hear the news they have brought
The love and hatred is my problem
People hate me
And I am looking for love
It is not easy to find
When someone tells you they love you it creates the little happiness I conceal
But then as you figure out that they never actually did love you the sadness sets in
That satisfaction when you have finished a huge project, taking up all of the week
And then a friend hits it, it is ruined, the frustration that comes with that, ruins it all
